Bovine Intervention

Bovine finally earned it's colors although this boss mostly made us look green and turn red over the past weeks. The first real challenge down, bring on the balls!

Lucky that only 1 of our maintanks is actually color-blind, the bigger challenge was to actually find 50 eyes to be online and open. Bovine attempted to compensate with lots of alcohol but double vision sounds better in theory then in practise.

People suspected Swotor would be the biggest ally of Yor'sahj, but it actually turned out to be the classic MMO called real-life. Drastic steps will be taken against people playing this game in the future!

Our raid group has never been so divided on a boss, clearly Morchok and his copy are agents of Blizzard telling us we should all go raid 10man so they can save on development time to bring us pet battles as endgame content. Luckily there is one thing that always brings us together, the loot was only on one of the bosses!

First stomps back into heroic modes were painful but bring it on!

Bring on Heroic modes!

Ragnaros Heroic's phase 4 antics proved to be more intimidating than his lower body, yet after a week or three of going at him we finally melted his core (see what I did there!). Our first kill was very close to the enrage there, with only 4 minutes to spare, so brush it up DPS!

While one group was working on Ragnaros HC, the other went in to get that meta-achievement fixed. Firehawk squadron: do a barrel roll!

Ragnaros's real gatekeeper (let's all admit we pick our teeth with bosses like Majordomo HC) proved to be less daunting than we had imagined. 5 twitchy healers, 2 tanks and around 18 oiled and lubed up DPS going at him for an hour or two was seemingly all it took to shatter his crystals. Quite an exhilirating fight, one we hope doesn't get nerfed anytime soon (BLIZZARD EDIT: gets nerfed soon).

Thanks to the amazing work of our raiding-team I am now the proud owner of a server first Dragonwrath legendary staff. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our raiding crew for what has been an exhilirating ride so far in Firelands. Bring it!

The final part fo the legendary questline involved killing Ragnaros with the questliner getting the Rage of Ragnaros debuff (hellfire + trap explosion around him). Brings a bit more spice to the fight!

We went in a bit worried, having warrior tanks who are unable to be masochistic on scorpion slashes, but after a quite short learning period (22 tries give or take) we were able to douse Majordomo's burning orbs (having an all-male raid roster gave us the definite edge there in ball-handling expertise!). EDIT: Come to think of it, that is actually worrying for an all-male raid roster...

We found a load of cobwebs and crawly things in a remote corner of Firelands and decided it was time to hand out dusters to the Bovine cleaning team. In we went and around 5 hours later we emerged with loads of barbeque material (those small ones are well crunchy), 8 massive (hairy) toothpicks and a well comfortable bean bag (with 8 cute, beady but oh so dead eyes!).
